Discover the capital of Andalusia during this independent day trip to Seville by high-speed train and hop on a sightseeing bus tour.
Seville Day Trip from Madrid
Your high-speed train departs from Madrid-Puerta de Atocha train station at 7 am. You’ll arrive at Sevilla-Justa train station at approximately 9:30 am.
To make the most of your time in Sevilla, you will be handed a 24-hour ticket for the green Seville Sightseeing tour bus. Discover the city and its most iconic landmarks while you travel on this open-top double decker bus. The route has 15 stops where you can hop off and back on whenever you want. The bus also includes pre-recorded commentary in English about Sevilla and its history.
Don’t miss visiting the top landmarks, including the beautiful Plaza del Triunfo that houses various UNESCO World Heritage buildings: the Seville Cathedral and the Giralda Tower, the Indian Archives and the Real Alcazar.
You’ll have time to try some of the region’s famous gastronomy and wander around the city’s winding streets. We recommend exploring the Torre del Oro, the Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza or the Triana Bridge also called the Puente de Isabel II. Another must-see is the impressive Plaza de España, built for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929 and the adjacent public park Maria Luisa Park that has several striking monuments and buildings.
In the evening head back to Santa Justa Train Station, where your train back to Madrid will depart at 6:45 pm. You’ll be back in the capital at 9:15 pm.
Important information
Keep in mind that the departure times of the train are indicated on the train ticket. Please be at the train stations at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time to pass the security control, find the right track and get on board the train.
