An interesting tour with lots of background information on the Civil War in relation to Madrid. Our guide (Robin) also gave helpful context to how this period of Spanish history remains controversial to this day. He was happy to answer any questions and gave detailed explanations.

Our guide, Rubin, was extremely friendly and freely answered any question attendees had. I personally had trouble understanding his English but that should take away from his very obvious knowledge go the subject. With respect to the tour logistics, there should be more obvious descriptions of the meeting location. Rubin did show up at 12 pm as required but we had to wander all over the area. There is no label on the monument itself, so a tourist to know where to meet is not realistic.
