We enjoyed el Escorial and Valley of the Fallen, but Segovia was too rushed. We had no time for any shopping (though 10-15 minutes were budgeted for this), and the tour guide walked very fast. Also, he had a better command of Spanish than English. Had we known about how rushed we would be through Segovia, we would have planned a different kind of experience.

The guides try to show as much content as possible during the visit. Therefore, they may accelerate the pace of the explanations unexpectedly, always trying to make the experience as good as expected. We regret that it was not as you had hoped. We take note to avoid such incidents in the future.

Carlos began the tour of El Escorial telling us how boring he thinks the architecture is. He chattered away in Spanish - translating into English occasional phrases (which did not always make sense on their own). He spoke quickly, often turning away from the microphone or dying away at ends of sentences, so was hard to understand. He was often sarcastic. He made little mention of important artworks. His instructions were not clear, and he seldom checked that all of us were with him.

Our guides are all vocational workers that do their best to share their enthusiasm for the places visited. Still, it is clear that we still have room for improvement. We deeply regret that the contents that this guide imparted were not to your liking. We have already extended him the comments and will make sure that he takes them into serious consideration. First, I would have assumed that if the package is all three locations, and all of the locations are in the same general area, that it would have been together. But no, after the first two, we had to trek back to Madrid and wait for 90 minutes before we could go to Segovia. This was a waste of time driving back and forth on the highway that in total we got more time on the road than we were able to spend sight seeing in Segovia. Both guides were not good but I am out of space to explain.

In the description on our website we specify that after the first visit the tour stops in Madrid and provides free time for visiting and having lunch. We are sorry that you did not see this information earlier.

El guía que nos llevó al Escorial y al Valle de los Caídos no ofreció información clara, completa y/o precisa. Sus explicaciones fueron muy vagas. Sufrí una lastimadura de mi rodilla izquierda y el guía, a pesar de mi dificultad para caminar, nunca me preguntó que me había pasado, mucho menos me ofreció alguna ayuda para yo poder moverme.

The guide that took us to the Escorial and the Valley of the Fallen did not offer clear, complete and/or precise information. His explanations were very vague. I suffered an injury to my left knee and the guide, despite my difficulty walking, never asked me what had happened to me, much less offered me any help so I could move.

Segovia no pude hacerlo. Pero la primera parte muy bien. En mi opinión el Valle de los Caídos no vale la pena , y ese tiempo lo usaría en el Escorial donde el tiempo fue muy apretado. Senti que me llevaban corriendo, no era normal ,la guía hablaba y corría. Los viajeros debíamos ir corriendo tratando de no perdernos . Parecía que teníamos un compromiso después. Luego el bus , parecía un horno microondas CALIENTE ...realmente nada agradable . Lo lamento, pensé que por el precio sería mejor. Gracias

No es una actividad de 2 visitas, son 2 visitas distintas el mismo día, se pierde mucho tiempo regresando a Madrid, almorzar, tomar otro carro y volver a salir de Madrid. 3 horas perdidas.
