Enjoy a truly Spanish experience on this tour of Madrid which gives you the opportunity to try different traditional tapas. You'll also get to see an authentic flamenco performance!
Evening Tapas and Flamenco Tour
The tour will meet in front of the Plaza Mayor Tourist Information Centre at 8 pm. From there you'll begin your tapas and flamenco tour of Madrid, in which you'll learn about the many diverse customs and traditions of Spanish culture.
Wandering on foot through Madrid de los Austrias, one of the most historic areas of the Spanish capital, you'll visit two traditional bars in the old town. There you'll experience one of the icons of Spanish gastronomy: tapas. You'll get to try a selection of these delicious mini mouthfuls, tasting various typical Andalusian products. This Spanish region is also famous for rebujito, a refreshing drink to accompany your tapas.
A glass of Spanish wine will complete your tasting. How do you fancy drinking straight from the traditional wineskin? For dessert, you'll finish off with some torrijas: a sweet treat which, for many, is nothing less than 'a taste of heaven'.
The evening will end with an authentic flamenco performance, whose magical guitar strums, claps known as palmas and dances make up an art that has been declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage.
You'll finish your tour returning to the starting point at 11:30 pm.
Both the tapas bars and the flamenco shows that will be visited on this tour may vary depending on the season.
